4.5
Just bought my 3rd pair of these boots to wear on the ranch and wish I could give them 4.5 Stars. They are very sturdy and stand up to all kinds of abuse. The hydraulics on the tractor dropped suddenly one time and dropped a 1,100 lb shredder down on my toes and the steel cap didn't bend a bit. Cut the leather to the steel but I wore the boots for a few years after that. Eventually the heels came loose on the first pair and the soles on the second pair but got 5-7 years of hard use out of each pair. Very comfortable for a work boot and have been pretty much waterproof. The reason for the 4 stars is that the sizing has seemed inconsistent from pair to pair ranging from 1/2 size too big on one and a little wider than expected on another. This last pair feels right on and I think they've improved the insole as it feels much more supportive. I had put different in soles in my previous pairs (for plantar fasciitis) but this last pair is good as is so far. Too be fair to Justin, if I didn't abuse my boots so much (kicking out hitch pins, kicking burning cedar brush piles, spreading road base rock with the sides of my feet, etc.) I'd probably still be wearing the first pair. Good boots and I hope they still make them when I finally wear out this new pair.
